Our timetable includes practical sessions, theory lessons, homework, and assignments (one major assignment per level).

Practical Salon Days: Learners will participate in practical salon days on Fridays, with the option of Saturdays.

Attendance and Completion: Please be aware that missed classes or incomplete work will result in your formal hours not being recorded.

Portfolio of Evidence: Each learner must complete a Portfolio of Evidence for every level as part of their formative assessment.

  • Summative assessment results will be submitted to the QCTO and shared with parents.
  • Integrated assessments will be conducted in both practical and theory classes.

Training Hours: Informal salon hours, which make up two-thirds of your training, can only begin once formal hours are completed. Refer to the guide for the required hours.

  • External moderation can only occur after completing workplace modules and logbook.
  • National Certificates cannot be issued without external moderation from the QCTO, and all certificates will be granted only after this process. Only a statement of results can be issued from La Louve, as the QCTO only issues certificates.

International Testing: City & Guilds – All theory tests are completed online at the academy.

Part-time learners are required to work in a salon and attend classes only one day per week. La Louve PHA remains open during school holidays for part-time learners. The same applies for evening class students.
